I was wondering if anyone in here had read the HP books in another
language than english.

Like most Americans, I only speak/read English, but my brother in law
lives in Norway and is fluent in Norwegian. He HATES the Norwegian
translations, mostly because they change some of the names. The example
he gives is Hagrid= Gigrid. Huh? Why do that? I can perhaps see
translating something like Ravenclaw, but why change a made-up name?
On a side note, Aunt Pat is looking pretty good to her niece and nephews
right now, too. They are coming to visit on June 21, for the first time
in six years, and I'm buying a copy of the book for them. They'll be
among the first Norwegian kids to have the book. How cool is that?? :-)
Pat, who is REALLY looking forward to the 21st!
