Lupin as James

I can't find the thread that someone mentioned that James was Lupin. 
But my sister just started reading the HP books and is now reading 
POA. She called me on the phone last night to discuss some of the 
details of the book (she didn't want me to give away too much). She 
mentioned to me that she thought James was Lupin. She also mentioned 
that she felt there was more to Lupin than meets the eye and she was 
anxious to continue reading POA to find out if her hunches are 
correct.

I don't know if the moderators will let this pass because there is no 
canon to support this theory, but it is interesting for someone who 
is just starting HP to come up with this idea.
