Me, stickbook:
VERY true.  Though a novel will always hit harder, there are ways of 
making the scene in the movie just as powerful--however, usually all 
the pieces have to be in line.  And I mean ALL--everything from 
casting to lighting to music.  Those of us who are in the industry 
appreciate can appreciate how difficult it is to achieve the "perfect 
scene"!

Now, before I go too OT, I have to say that reading HP is like 
watching a great movie in my head.  I would just about die of 
happiness if the scene in TMTMNBN3 where Harry sees his Patronus, 
Prongs, for the first time turns out to be identical to what I see in 
my brain.

Thank you, HPfGU, for the last three years.  I'll see you on Sunday, 
back in uncharted territory.
