So now that we're less than one day away, I'm curious what everyone
is doing to make sure they are comfortable while reading. Maybe we
can all remind each other of something helpful or something that we
forgot to do. Here's a few of mine....
1. Move best chair in the house next to best lamp in the house for
proper lighting.
2. Putting in a fresh pair of contact lenses so I don't misread
anything.
3. Going grocery shopping to make sure there are more than enough
munchies (gotta have my popcorn and Pepsi)
4. Making sure hubby knows nearest route to McDonalds so he won't
have to bug me come dinner time.
Cindy added:
5. Don't forget to take the day off work, and leave the phone off the
hook - or just don't answer. I can't wait to read all about Snape, and
he doesn't like interruptions! ;-)
To which Kelly said:
6. Tell everyone you know that you are unavailable for the weekend.
7. If you are like me and listen to music when you read, load up the
cd player with the cds that you feel will best complement your reading
experience. If you only have a single disc changer, stack the cds
you feel you will be listening to by the player so you don't have to
waste precious reading time hunting for a new disc.
8. Know the number of your pizza deliverer of choice. That way you
don't have to waste your time looking it up later. Better yet, just
arrange for another family member to take care of the details.
Now I (Jen) would like to add:
9. Have one final serious talking to with your significant other
about how there are to be no interruptions - my boyfriend is annoyed
how many times I have stressed this, but it's not preventing him from
cooking an authentic (he hopes) English dinner for me on Saturday as
I read away.
Happy reading to all! :) Jen
