Coming out of long lurkerdom to share a very appropriate "sign" for
OOP publishing day.
The USA space agency NASA hosts an Astronomy Picture of the Day
website (APOD) at
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/
APOD must have a Harry Potter fan on staff because today's picture is
a *dark* nebula...the Snake Nebula. If you follow the link, you can
see the nebula has a very pronounced S shape. Can anyone say
Slytherin? It is located toward the constellation Ophiucus and is
catalogued as B72, or Barnard 72 from E.E. Barnard's "On Dark
Markings in the Sky." Appropriate, eh?
So, to keep this slightly on topic:
Will we see the Snake Nebula as part of a centaur's next prediction?
Can this be subtle inspiration for The Dark Mark?
And...
Watch out for any new characters named Ophiucus or Barnard!
T-Squared, whose hopes for OOP include a complete lack of bloodheir!
Harry, animagi, time turner incidents, or star-wars-like paternal
revelations or hidden siblings, but instead does include an
astonishing but heretofore completely unimagined JKR plot that has no
resemblance to any of the amazing theories the smart and imaginative
HP4GUP listees have come up with over the past three years. I want
to be surprised!
