Something that has been bugging me

Maybe I'm being "simple" again, but here's a wild thought. We all 
know that things in the WW are different. Pictures can move and 
portraits can talk right? So how come someone can't paint a portrait 
of Lily and James so that Harry can talk to them? The Fat Lady, Sir 
Cadogan, and Vi all seem to talk a lot!! They had to be alive at one 
point right, just like the portraits of past headmasters in 
Dumbledores office. LOL   I am grabbing at straws here because I 
can't wait for that next book.....
