This Time Turner stuff will drive you nuts. How do you think I got to
be the way I am?

Time travel only gets confusing when you think about going back in
time. To save my sanity, I like to say that 'time only occurs once'.

Let's say Hermione has 3 classes at 9am. At 9am two time traveling
Hermiones arrive from the future and join the real-time Hermione, and
they each go to their respective classes.

Confusion only occurs if you think time happened more than once, if
so, then Hermione went back and time occurred again, then Hermione
went back for the third class and time occurred a third time. No so.
As I said when the clock struck 9am, the two time travel Hermiones
appear and that next hour only occurred once then time marched on.

By the way, for each hour that Hermione time travels, her day becomes
on hour longer. Harry and Hermione went back three hours when they
time traveled together. That made the amount of time they lived during
that day 27 hours. That's why Hermione was so wore out.

Myself and someone else, acting independantly, estimate that Hermione
gained 52 days during that school year. While all her class mates are
10 month older, Hermione is 10 months 52 days older. You never get
something for nothing; there is a price to be paid for time travel.
