Taking a deep breath...

As I crawl out from under my rock, earmuffs and blinkers still in 
place, I just *have* to say a tremendous, huge, enormous, gigantic, 
titanic, colossal, massive, and mammoth THANK YOU to all my fellow 
HP4GUers for seeing me through the past three years. I still
can't believe we made it! 

In the midst of clearing house in readiness for my eagerly 
anticipated reading frenzy, I've been re-reading all the
wonderful emails (Horrors, there are even a couple I have never 
replied to! – my abject apologies to Steve and Abigail!), re-
cataloguing my predictions, weeping over my cherished theories that 
are probably too fragile to withstand hurricane Jo, and fighting all 
those well-meaning people who want to give me a social life this 
weekend. 

I will now head off to my meet-up and have a wonderful time with kids 
half my age, eat drink and be merry - for tomorrow I will probably 
starve and dehydrate myself till I have (alas!) finished my first run 
of OotP. This is my farewell to the age of innocence; this era in our 
fandom where we could ship and theorize to our hearts content – 
totally unaware of the pitfalls of book 5. By this time tomorrow most 
of us will have entered a brand new era of waitin-for-book-six, and 
the mods will once again banish us for such totally OT posts 

but not yet. ;-)

So this is one last Hurrah for the good times pre-OotP, one last deep 
breath before I delve into my book, until I perhaps resurface in a 
windswept TBAY again.
