I think the time with Umbridge certainly taught all of Hogwarts, 
teachers included, to throw their little petty squabbles aside and 
embrace each other. In fact, I think that's just what Dumbledore was 
aiming for and why he left like he did. 

It seemed to me that McGonagall and Snape were almost teasing each 
other over the points matter, as if to say "you and I both know that 
this no longer matters". It's like Hermione said, all these little 
competitions divide the school- quidditch and house points. Did I 
miss something, or was the House cup not handed out at the end of 
the novel?  

I think they'll all be friends in some capacity from now on.
