I agree, it was a major let down. On the other hand I've got unspecified
feeling, that there _must_ be something going on behind scenes. I just
can't find why I've got this feeling. Was it that their bickering was
much less fiercier than always? Or, perhaps that they seems to treat
Harry as their (sort of) a child. Or just maybe because their behaviour
is similar to behaviour of some friends of mine who are together over 10
years (and they get together at 15).
There is an excellent example of similar pair in (lord) Jeffrey Archer's
short story "Old Love".

IMHO it's for sure directed at Ginny, to whom Ron was speaking at that
time meaning, as you said: Ginny and
Harry, you two should be together, you're good for each other."
