-------I agree. Neville improved out of sight in this book. I think
the D.A. was as good for his self-confidence as it was for Harry's.
(I think he needed a good, positive thing to DO, especially after not
being chosen Prefect, and the whole Quidditch thing. He was
appreciably less angry at the world after he had a real job he could
apply himself to.) I think, also, that even if he wouldn't have
chosen it, Neville didn't mind all that much about Harry and the
others finding out about his parents. He was embarrassed at the
hospital, yes, but there's something to be said about a burden shared
being lighter. He didn't have to keep that a secret anymore, and it
let him show more of himself.
