kaizer_ken_ichijouji:
On another note, for anyone from PISA, I wish she hadn't made Peter
QUITE so horrible in the memory. Why did they hang out with him? I
know he turns out completely despicable, but just like above, people
change. He didn't do anything that *didn't* make me wonder why the
others were ever friends with him.

Me:
Peter's actions actually made me understand perfectly why James, Sirius, and Lupin let him hang out with them. Well, mostly James and Sirius. And then, mostly James, who really is obviously the leader of the group. One, as we can see, James (and Sirius) have serious ego problems at this point. People like that love adoration, which Peter gives them a plethora of. Also, some groups have a Peter kind of person: the one who isn't as talented, charming, and/or attractive as the others in the group, who is teased the most and sometimes belittled to make them feel better. You have someone like Peter around, and you automatically feel better about yourself because, hey, you're not as bad as him! But I do believe they must have also formed friendships as well.

Thank God HRH's relationship with Neville isn't like that.
