Okay, this is my first post to this board, so if someone has already
asked this question, please just direct me to where i can find that
thread.

A couple of things about Sirius's death just don't seem to add up to
me, most of which are already being discussed. Such as what curse
hit him (i don't think it was a killing curse, the fact that JK
said 'another jet of light' kinda makes me assume it was another
stunning spell) and what's up with the mysterious veil.

However, I was surprised to see that there was no mention of
Sirius's death in the Daily Prophet article that Hermione was
reading. I know that the fact that Voldemort was back was the most
important, but wouldn't also be the death of the escaped criminal,
Sirus Black, one of Voldemort's "most important servants" be a topic
for discussion? I realize that Hermione could have skipped over
parts of it, but they always put those sections in a form as though
we were reading the article ourselves, so it leads me to assume it
wasn't in there.

Something about that just doesn't add up to me. Perhaps they were
not able to find Sirius's body? I keep thinking there is something
else on the other side of that veil...but then again, I'm still in
denial of the death of poor Padfoot. Just trying to hold out for a
miracle...
