Gryfindors asked questions. And I don't remember mentions of other
houses sharing DADA class with them in previous books. So just how
many Gryfindors are there in Harry's year? And if it wasn't just

Answer: There were others than just Gryffindors there. Here's the
complete list: Gryffindors were Dean Thomas, Neville Longbottom,
Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, Padma Patil, Katie Bell, Alicia
Spinnet, Angelina Johnson, Colin Creevey, Dennis Creevey, Ginny
Weasley, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Lee Jordan, Seamus Finnegan
who joined later, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and Harry Potter of
course. That makes 18 Gryffindors. Ravenclaws were Cho Chang,
Marietta Edgecombe, Anthony Goldstein, Michael Corner and Terry
Boot. That is 5 Ravenclaws. Hufflepuffs were Ernie Macmillan,
Justin Finch-Fletchley, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones and Zacharias
Smith. That is 5 Hufflepuffs.
There is a total of 28 members, counting the teacher, Harry, of
Dumbledore's army. From the number of Gryffindors present, we know
that the majority of students in Harry's year joined up. Perhaps
even all of them. I'll have to go back through the books to check,
though. No Slytherins of course.
