I'm not sure that there is any significance. "Wotcha" 
means "hi", "alright", "how's it going", it's just one of those 
phrases you say on meeting people. It is a vernacular term, common I 
think to London. I used to use it alot, before I went to University 
and lived with people from all over the country who found that bit 
of slang too entertaining for me to continue with it.

If there is any significance at all, I would say that it pinpoints 
Tonk's origins to London. Alternatively, it could just be her way of 
being "cool".
