Just because we don't see Lupin's reaction doesn't mean he doesn't 
have one. At the moment of Sirius' death he has to be strong or 
Harry, (the one they came to save, their one hope agains evil) would 
have jumped right in after to his death. Then Harry takes off with 
Dumbledore and JKR always follows Harry. We have no idea what 
happened in that room after the adrenaline stopped flowing and it 
became real for Lupin. The next time we see him is at the train 
station, how many days later and again he has a purpose. He wouldn't 
have been very effective with the Dursley's if he was sobbing like a 
baby. I also am unclear about what turncoat you are refering too. The 
only betrayal I know about was Wormtail ratting out the Potter's. 
Snape is a turncoat against Voldemort, Dumbledore trusts him and 
that's in canon. Anyway I just don't see any evidence against Lupin, 
although I would have liked to have seen him step in as the father 
figure for Harry, but oh well.
