I would like to add to Catherines' thought

As we remember in GoF Harry and Voldemort's wands are
'brothers' and can not work against each other
properly - Priori Incantatem - the reverse spell
effect.    That has got to affect the story.  How can
Harry and Voldemort battle with those wands?
