After reading OOP the first time, my personal list would have been:
1. GOF
2. POA
3. OOTP
4. PS
5. COS
I, also, missed a bit the whodunit-plot. I am a fan of murderer novel
and I always founf this part of the story very interesting. On the
other hand, I liked the gloomy mood the book had, I liked how Harry
learned most important things second hand and how it becomes clear,
that something evil raised around Hogwarts. And I love, love, love
that James Potter suddenly isn't a saint any longer, but a human
being with faults. For the first time, I found myself really liking
Ginny and Sybill Trelawney and I was thrilled to see Neville's
character development.
