I thought Lupin's behavior sort of paralleled Ron's, when it came to 
confronting the Weasley twins.
Granted, Fred and George were far from behaving like the cruel 
bullies James and Sirius were; but yet they frequently broke the 
school rules, and every single time Ron ignored them and left them to 
Hermione to deal with.

I also have lost any respect for James and Sirius;  far from being 
upset over Sirius' death, I found I didn't much care and even felt a 
little cheated because of all the hype about the death of 
an 'important' character.
