I agree imamommy. If the prophecy was made shortly before Harry and
Neville were born then and it helped them to narrow it down to the
two boys then the Longbottoms and Potters had already defied LV,
either jointly or seperatly, in addition to being born at the end of
July. It is likely that they had foiled some attempt of Voldemort's
or refused to join him.
What I wonder is if the Potters and Longbottoms were told immediately
or if it was not know until Voldemort set his cap to going after the
Potters. I'd imagine D-dore might have waited a little bit, but he
also implied that no one was sure of who it would be until the attack
on the Potters. But it seems that both families wouldn't hide for
almost two years.
And if the attack on Harry had been a sucess would LV have killed
Neville next?
