I agree. I kept thinking that maybe by embedding it into him
literally, it was providing some sort of link to him that would help
her see what he was up to. I didn't think it was a coiencidence that
his scar hurt when she touched the markings on his hand, and that was
the time that Harry said later that "Lord Thingy" (I love that!
hehehe) was really happy about something... not very reassuring.
I thought maybe with this link it would alert her when he would write
something. (since a lot of the things she knew creepily too soon.) And
that theory seemed to work until the Sirius in the fire part... unless
he was writing before, and because he stopped she started to pay
attention.. weren't they doing homework at the time? I know most of
the information aquisition has been explained in other ways, but I
still get an uneasy feeling about it. She didn't find out any more
about D.A. becase they never wrote anything else about it after the
initial paper.
Harry never said anything about it to anyone but Ron and Hermione, and
when Lee had to do lines, I'm not even 100% sure they were for
Umbridge, but even if they were she may not have used the evil quill,
she may not have been out for him, like she was out for Harry. Since
most of her mission was to squelch Harry and Dumbledore and the "lie"
that Lord Thingy was back.
I know it is only a suspision, and I'll go back and re-read some more
for further clairification. But the whole thing doesn't sit well at all.
