Now me:
It was my understanding that DD would have wanted to prevent LV from
hearing the prophesy because LV doesn't yet know that it's literally
either he or Harry's life. Which makes Harry even more of a target
than he ever was. I think that's why DD and the OoP needed to
protect it at all costs - to protect Harry a little while longer.
