Harry doesn't know what he did wrong, and certainly doesn't know how to
fix it (even after Hermione's patient tutorial). It took him forever to
approach Cho, and the very first date went horribly wrong. Besides, his
feelings for her have calmed down. All in all, I find it a well
characteraised first crush and its logical conclussion (without
mentioning all the problems of their relationship, like Cedric).

I've known such sort of person - good at convincing girls to "give him
a try" but very shallow/boring/fast/[insert here undesirable
characteristic] that makes second dates higly unprobable.
BTW, Peter, you should know that "elf", in this list, means a member of
the moderator team, the people in charge of the list. I don't think
you're one of them, so you might want to change your handle, so it
doesn't confuse people (me, for starters).

Harry is not his cousin, nor a bad person. He won't allow *anyone*
become a vegetable, and his cousin, for all his pettyness and
brutality, doesn't deserve life sentence. It's harder to explain how
JKR will handle the final Harry/Voldemort showdown, since Harry killing
Voldemort would off-character at this point, IMO. But we shall see.
Hope that helps,
