No, you weren't the only one surprised at Filtch. I held him to be a 
jaded Squib who just really dislikes students making him do a ton of 
work. All his clamoring for corporeal punishments seemed to be 
barking rather than biting. But he seems really enormously pleased 
with the right to whip Fred and George and stated that Umbridge was 
the best thing to happen to Hogwarts. So, yes, I'm not sure at all 
about his loyalties and think that his is a /very/ dangerous position 
to fall to the enemy. I wonder.

And, who do we know who might be an infiltrator in LV's camp? Malfoy 
I find /highly/ unlikely. Karkaroff shouldn't be taken seriously. 
Rookwood, I don't think so. Lestrange - impossible... I, for 
one, /really/ want to know what Snape is up to....
