Diana:
My question is, since Narcissa's mother was Sirius' cousin, wouldn't
Narcissa and her sister Bellatrix (the escaped Death Eater) both have
visited the house sometime in the past in
order to visit their relatives?

Anyone have a plausible explaination for this?

[Anita Hillin] Given the explanation of the Secret Keeper in POA, I presumed
that once a house was Secret, it was magically concealed from all but those
to whom the location was revealed by the Secret Keeper. So, even if
Narcissa and Bellatrix walked right up the street, they would not see nor
have access to the front door of number 12. Kreacher, as one who had not
been told the location of the house by the Secret Keeper, could blab all he
liked and still not make either of them capable of locating the house. How
does this explain Hagrid and Sirius being able to go to the Potters' once
Voldemort had found them? I'm guessing the murder of the parents made the
Secret moot, thus voiding the magical pact with Peter. Can you tell I used
to work for a Law School? ;-)
