I can't say that I'm a huge fan of Hagrid but some of his beasts have 
proven to be valuable.  That said, my least favorite story line in 
OoP was Grawp.  I dread seeing him in Book 6 or 7 and hope we've seen 
the last of him.  However, I don't think that's the case.  The whole 
Grawp/giant storyline just seemed a bit weak to me.  Once it was 
revealed how Hagrid was getting his bruises and wounds, I just really 
didn't care.  While I didn't want Hagrid to die, I would have 
prefered it to be him rather than Sirius.
