In OotP, it says Lucius is 41, which would put him 3-5 years older 
than Snape, so he was at school with the Marauders, most probably.

I think this is a very interesting theory, but I'm not sure if the 
timing works exactly.  IIRC Voldemort is about 70 (same approximate 
age as Minerva, apparently), and IIRC, his reign of terror had 
lasted 10 years (or was it 11?  Or 16?) by 1981, which would mean 
that he'd been terrorising the Magical world for the whole time the 
Marauders had been in school.  I think your idea that LV had close 
family ties with the Black family is valid, but I doubt that he was 
actually bunking at #12, in a house with a school-age son who'd been 
sorted into Gryffindor.
