This is my first post, though i have been reading everyone elses
thoughts for sometime.

1. I am getting a little tired of the Draco Harry thing we know they
hate each other, we know why, their dialogue is practically te same
in each book, (sorry) but frankly it's beginning to bore me.

2. Loved the whole DA thing I also thought that it was doing exatly
what the sorting hat said to do, uniting the houses to stand together
against evil, all except Slyterin of course (another thing which I
find hard to believe that all Slytherin studendt are pretty bad,
surely they cant all be?

3. I enjoyed all the stuff at Sirius's house it was certainly
refreshing to be out of Hogwarts or Privet Drive, and I like the new
characters introduced into the order.

4 Id hoped we were going to find out more about Snape, but i dont
really think we did, yes i know we saw the whole James thing but we
dont know why he was a death eater, isnt anymore, and why Dumbledore
trusts him.

5 In fact I didn't think we found out a great deal of shocking new
stuff, no big surprises, really except Neville being involved in the
prophecy and i hope she is going somewhere with that. And all the
stuff about Dumbledore finally telling Harry what he should have told
him years ago, well to be honest I though it was a bit of an
anticlimax, is theyre anyone whose read the other books who didnt
already know the series is going to end with either Harry or
Voldemort dead?

6 I liked that Ginny is actually starting to have more of
character, but its a pity Hagrid wasnt killed off, as far as i can
tell he would be no loss if he wasn't in the book at all, so hopefully
the whole Grawp storyline will have some bearing on future books
otherwise was it really necessary, I like the way Neville is coming
along, in fact at the moment for me he is the character who is most
interesting and believable. Harry was as we know very angry and
understandably so but he was very hard to like in this book and im
sorry to say but comes across more lucky than anything else,
certainly not particulary cleverly.

To be honest for me it did not have the suspense and fantastic twist
at the end of Azkaban, which remains by favourite book, nor anything
exciting going on like the Triwizard Tournament in Goblet, the much
touted death of one of the main characters wasn't horrifying or
tearjerking and didnt really send Sirius off with a bang. The book
seemed to plod along and in places seemed a little stale (sorry)no
real surprised not loose ends tied up and to be honest I am not
gagging for more! as i was at the end of Goblet, anyway hoefully book
6 will put my griped to rest.

let me know what you thing (but please be gentle with me)
