Loved it...picked it up at midnight, finished it by 5:30 AM....

The Death: suspected it all along...sorry, but as has been mentioned,
the permission for the Kiss was never rescinded, no one was going to listen...

James & crew: so James was a bit of a jerk, was he...this was
indicated previously in the comment about laughing bout 'near misses' while out on
moonlit rambles with Lupin.

       Grawp: potential for new 'Prank'?

Harry's Unforgivable: I'm not as shocked about Harry's use of it as I
am about Bella's description of how they work...go back and reread GoF. It
sheds a whole new light on why Crouch/Moody cast the unforgivables on his
classes...so much for training Harry to resist. How much pleasure did C/M get out of
Crucioing and Imperioing all those students, children of his masters enemies
and disloyal followers? All in a piece with Ferret/Draco. And how much
frustration when that Potter kid could resist? No wonder he did Harry so many times.
And as for calling Neville into his chambers, comforting him and planting that
book? [shudders]

Mrs. Figg: Yay!!!! Loved that, loved her...I hope she does get to
'kill Mundungus Fletcher'!

The Prophesy: Harry or Neville, huh? Hmm...defy has several meanings,
why assume it meant those who were resisting LV? A disobedient DE would
qualify too. Hmm, does Snape have a kid? And when is Draco's birthday?

And the 'spy' who overheard the Prophesy? My first thought was Snape
and to wonder if the results of his report were what drove him to DD's side.
However, the timing seems wrong, DD implies that Snape rejoined the Good Guys
prior to LV's fall. Then, upon rereading, I ran across the comment about
Mundungus Fletcher being banned from the Hog's Head and remembered DD's comment about
the spy being tossed out before he could hear the whole...I wonder...get him
Figgy!

Cheryl the Lynx, looking forward to book 6
