Having read through the 'Lost prophecy' chapter a few times last
night I still can't get my head 'round Dumbledore's flaw in his plan
for Harry since birth.

Is it that he should have told Harry the lot before and thus
preventing Voldemort's taking over of harry's mind and subsequently
stopping Sirius's death?

What would telling Harry before really have achieved?

If Dumbledore had told him asap he would have taken his carefree
youth and thus preventing him developing emotions, friendship etc and
therefore love (something Dumbledore feels Harry has got over
Voldemort)but it would have him prepared and conditioned to
eventually take on Voldemort, without the sad biterness harry feels!

What does Dumbledore mean when he says '...What did I care if numbers
of nameless and faceless people...were slaughtered...if...here and
now you were alive well and happy?...I never dreamed I would have
such a person on my hands...'

What does all this mean?

I understand the basic plot of the prophecy, of course, its just the
other bits. It may be that Jo is simply having Dumbledore tie
everything together and placate Harry and show him he really loves
him and how important Harry is to himself and human and wizard kind.

It maybe that Jo is tying the prophecy up with ideas and themes
around a social message.

Some one please put me straight???????????
What difference would
