The reviewer of OOP in the Village Voice took a shot at JKR for
contibuting to the demise of millions of trees with her
(gratuitiously, in his opinion) big huge books.

But the Canadian edition of OOP makes a big point that they have
actually used 100% recycled paper. JKR herself, on the title page,
writes that "Because the Canadian editions are printed on Ancient-
Forest Friendly paper, the HP books are helping to same magnificent
forests in the muggle world... It's a good idea to respect ancient
trees.."

And on the last page of the book, Raincoast Publishers list all the
environmental precautions they've taken in printing this book.

I was wondering if this is a company initiative specific to
Raincoast Books, or if it's a personal interest of JKR's. Do the US,
UK, or other editions of OOP mention recycled paper, or other
environmentally-friendly tactics?
