I almost felt that JKR was trying to make a statement about the lack 
of importance of the house cup to Harry.  The appearance of those 
house hourglasses was a nice addition at this point, but Harry didn't 
seem as concerned with the total lack of points as he might have in 
years past.  Along those lines, I don't think he was as stricken by 
the Quidditch ban either.  When that happened, I really thought we 
would spend a lot of time missing Quidditch and being bitter, but it 
was almost as if Harry knew there were more important things.  Maybe 
a sign of his growing maturity...  However, I have only read through 
once, so I may have let the PLOT drown out minor details ;).  Any 
thoughts?
