OOP: Impact on Kids & James/Lily Fics

Hi:) I just joined the list a few days ago and am still trying to 
wade through the 1000+ mails I have left.. It's nice to see such an 
active group :)

Anyways.. much as I'd like to sound off on my comments/questions on 
the book, I have 2 different questions I wanted to ask. I'm not 
completely knowledgeable on list rules... so if there is a similar 
post somewhere or if I should modify my questions, please let me know.

Question #1
Based on all the varied reactions that the adults had to this book.. 
>From high praise to moderate satisfaction, to disappointment - even a 
downright loathing of JKR's chosen path (the opinion I find most 
disturbing).. How are your children coping with the death, the change 
in characterizations(esp. Harry, Sirius and James)? What kind of 
impact is OOP having on kids, what questions do they have, and how 
are you explaining things to them?

Does anyone have any recommendations for really good James/Lily 
fanfiction? Especially that which is similar to the OOP canon, so I 
don't get *too* confused..
