I agree; the illustrations are wonderful, descriptive and I love the
expressions on the characters faces....EXCEPT......
Snape, of course, just like Michael. I do not believe his illustration fits
his personality. I picture him as tall, skinny, pale skin, longish, lank
hair and long, thin face, with hawkish features.
JKR also does not describe him as having facial hair. I wonder where Mary
Granpre came up with that.

Am I the only one who thinks Mary Grandpre's illustrations are
totally awesome! I especially like the covers. I like how each book
has a color scheme about it. I've seen the British covers and to be
honest I think they look stupid. Anyone else who think's Grandpre's
illustrations rock?

P.S. To be honest, there is one illustration I don't like. Whenever
Grandpre pictures Snape, he has a beard and is balding. I don't know
where she got that. Alan Rickman in the the movie is what I pictured
him as, only paler and yonger.
