Something about only Harry or Lord Thingy, the ones the prophecy was about,
being able to touch the record container, anyone else who attempted slipped
into madness - sorry, can't firnd the exact quote right now, but it was either
Lupin or Dumbledore who said it, after Sirius death.
Apparently, the magical protection on the prophecy record containers affects
only the container itslef - since everybody got into the room, and the kids
were able to toss down the shelves (magically, they didn't touch them).
Couldn't they select just one container? Most likely not. I believe the
protection is put after the container is set on the shelf, and there must be some
sort of magical lock before that (I wouldn't think people would have to go into
that room in order to get the prophecy memory out of their heads and into the
container) to prevent anyone from opening it before the madness protection
spell is performed.
And I don't think this kind of protection is anything even Dumbledore (let
alone Moody) would be able to override. Then, would Dumbledore, in those days,
get normal or magical access to the MoM and that particular room? Maybe opening
the door itself (metaphorically speaking) would be a danger, maybe access was
possible only after one of the two involved in the prophecy entered the room
itself.
Then... how did Lord Thingy have such a visual of the room and path to it?
Could there be a previous prophecy about him (very very likely)? Could he have
possibly have worked in the MoM before coming to power? This prophecy was
issued at the end of his reign, and then he himself would not have easy access to
the MoM (I assume).
Cristina (who has given up on reading HPFG messages, nearly 4000 is way too
much, and believes we're all simply saying what we think without caring much if
others have said it, let alone if they said it better...)
