I recently posted on my HP blog (http://hpprogs.blogspot.com/) that
the theme for Book 7 will be love (the post isnt up yet, blogger has
been messing with me, should be up tommorrow). If you noticed,
Rowling basically pushed back any real love commitments in this
book. Ron and Hermione's relationship was stagnant (to say the
least - how could they talk with Harry about making out with Cho and
not jump each other?) and the Cho/Harry connection was basically de-
fused. Add Nymphadora Tonks (a name, and character, who brings love
to mind) and Dumbledore's comment to Harry at the end that you
quoted, and we are basically set for a Book 7 themed with love.

I also wrote
(http://hpprogs.blogspot.com/2002_11_10_hpprogs_archive.html#84545288
), a long time ago, that:

Harry's love, not his hate, will enable him to defeat Voldemort,
similar to how Lily's love of Harry prevented his death. To pin
Harry's fortune to some outside event like a prophecy or lineage
completely contradicts the essence of who Harry is and all that he
stands for.

So I think you are *spot on*.
