     It seems we could reasonably assume that a wizard and an elf 
would be more equal than a human and a dog.  But why should we assume 
that they are *absolutely* equal?  And even if we did, I agree with 
whoever pointed out that "inferior" means a person of lower rank, 
whether you happen to agree with the ranking system or not.
