I say:

I too loved it, that Dumbledore called him Tom. It is not only 
humbling, but HUMANIZING, which I think is something that the 
Wizarding population often forgets. He's this Largerthanlife evil bad 
guy who is all-powerful...but he's also, simply put...Tom. Just Tom. 
I think Dumbledore is reminding Voldemort himself of this fact when 
they are talking during battle.
