Re-ootp,snape question, and crucio question

Sirius in my opinion new alot more about the dark arts than he was letting 
on....Who exactly was his father? Clearly his father was pure blood...I 
wonder if Snape and Sirius new each other before they started 
school...Siruis said that all pure blood familys were linked in some way...I 
wonder if the Snapes knew the blacks.=?
