I was just going over this last night and it dawned on me that while 
part of Sirius' death (BTW, am I the *ONLY* person not despairing 
over his death?) was caused by his desire to save his godson...it 
really seems to me to be more of a "suicide-by-Death-Eater." I 
believe SB was in a serious tailspin, depression-wise, and would 
have possibly been suicidal.

Seeing this snippet just made the whole thing jell in my mind.
