First off let me apologize if this has been discussed. I have over 120
messages in my inbox---and I get the digest. I've skimmed them, but can't
possibly read them all. If it has been discussed, somebody please direct me
to the thread.
I've seen a lot of people talking about the new-found understanding that
Snape has of Harry's life in the muggle world--and I agree with that whole
heartedly--but I'm wondering if it was Snape who influenced all those Order
members to show up at Kings Cross Station and warn the Dursleys to be nicer
to Harry.
After all, Dumbledore did give some indication that he knew that Harry
wasn't treated in the best way possible and HE never asked the Dursleys to
be nicer.
And the members of the Order couldn't really have known--well, I suppose
they did know he had been locked up. They would have seen that when they
picked him up--but they didn't make a big deal out of it then.
Snape couldn't have warned the Dursleys himself--the Slytherins would have
seen him--so I think he got the rest of the Order to do it for him. Any
thoughts?
