I was just wondered if anyone noticed a likeness in these two? Snape
keeps victimising Harry because he sees James Potter in him. Sirius
becomes increasingly friendly with Harry because he also sees James
in Harry.
Also, I'd like to say more about Snape. Am I the only one who
sincerely admires him? He's a very interesting character who has
clearly had a painful past. In fact, I wasn't that sad about the
death of Black because I was still holding a grudge against him
after reading 'Snape's Worst Memory'.
It sounds cheesy but I think all Snape needed in his life was some
affection. I don't believe he got it from his shouting parents and
he was a loner in school so he initially chose to side with Death
Eaters. But after Dumbledore invested trust and friendship in him he
bravely became a spy for the Order. Therefore, I think it's safe to
say that Snape's lack of affection during childhood has resulted in
a bitter adulthood.
Let me know what you think.
