OoP: MIRRORS AND MAGIC

This whole idea of communicating and asking for help from others via 
a two-way mirror system is cool.  One of the more recent posts has 
suggested that Harry will throw a mirror through the black veil so he 
can communicate with the other side.  This may not be necessary.

The mirror was described as the size of a paperback, and could also 
be put into a pocket (OoP)  Sirius has already told us that he and 
James used them all the time to communicate in detention.  What if, 
James had his mirror on him when he died?  Just a thought-Sirius did 
not ever try to communicate with James, but Harry will stumble across 
this later, maybe?  If not James, maybe some other dead person 
already took a mirror through, perhaps Luna Lovegood's family?  It 
would be interesting to see if JK has Harry searching for an OoP 
family or non DE that sent mirrors through?
