I am too lazy at the moment to find the start of the thread. I too
notice how it kept saying 'Lupin's young face' He is the same age as
Sirius and Severus so why the point?
Well if Rowlings is using the standard Lycanthropy genre, Werewolves
are almost immortal and they do not age, at least not in the degree
as other mortals. And if Lupin is a wizard (long aged) and a
lycanthropic, he should not age. I think the gray hair and lines on
the face indicates the extreme duress he has been under over the
years, yet his face is still young ie, effects of the lycanthropy.
