First off, I want to deeply apologize- I believe I forgot to leave an OoP warning on the subject of my last email. I'm hoping it didn't pass through and will be sent back so I can adjust it.. I'm on digest, so we'll see.
I forgot a couple of things to mention:

1. Loved, loved, LOVED that Hermione gave Ron a kiss on the cheek. Not so much that she did that (though I don't remember if she's ever given Harry a kiss on the cheek, and to give Ron a kiss just for good luck on a Quidditch game seems to me significant), but Ron's reaction afterward- holding his hand to his face, seeming little dazed. But that's the R/H shipper in me just being in heaven. ;)

2. Umbridge's quill made me sick. I can't even believe JKR thought of it- whoa. I still think Harry should have gone to DD- what would the ministry say about that? It's okay for her to inflict physical harm upon the students? I don't think so. Isn't that why they stopped using the chains and everything?

3. Sirius' relationship with his mother- though it leaned a little more towards MWPP being in the same house, she never said outright what houses they were in, though she had several opportunities to do so (especially during the "Noble and Most Ancient House of Black" chapter). It seemed almost, to me, that she went out of her way to avoid saying what houses they were in. Of course it was impossible not to notice all the Slytherin symbolism throughout the house when Harry first entered, I think that Sirius' relationship with his mother wasn't *horrible* to begin with. Perhaps, as a child, Sirius questioned why they weren't allowed to mingle with half-bloods and why they (the Black family) were "superior". Of course, his mother would have been a bit perturbed by this line of questioning, and the fact that he wasn't showing "proper wizarding pride". So I think that, while she was worried about him while a young boy, she didn't have quite the hatred she ended up having toward him- that didn't happen until, when sent off to Hogwarts, he was sorted not into Slytherin, like all his family and forefathers, but rather into Gryffindor and she knew that, by her standards, there was something wrong with him. I'm curious what house Andromeda was in.

Here's hoping that's all...

Aesha, who notices people have seemed to forget their little special tags in the excitement over OoP.
