If not a witch, at least a squib...she DEFINITELY knows a lot.  Maybe 
she was jealous that Lily was better than her and that's why she 
renounced the wizarding world.  The Dursleys are going to be more 
important later on according to what Dumbledore tells Harry about 
being protected as long as he's under the care of his mother's blood 
(ie: his aunt, her sister).
