I mentioned this in another post but haven't found any responses to it
yet (is that even possible with all these posts?). Anyway, here is my
thought on why Dumbledore trusts Snape unconditionally: he was Snape's
Occlumency teacher. When Snape left the DE's to spy for Dumbledore he
had to learn to close his mind to Voldemort's ability to read his
betrayal. In the learning process, Snape had to allow Dumbledore
access to much of his mind and there Dumbledore learned undeniably of
Snape's loyalty to him and the side of right.
