More brilliant heads than mine will comment on this hopefully but my 
first thought at your very keen observation was "the best defense is 
a good offense." Leaving Harry with no information almost did the 
situation in. At least knowing everything he knows now, he can work 
harder to fend off V. Another thought, from a previous post 
(apologies, there have been about 500 this morning alone) When Harry 
didn't realize V was getting into his head, he wanted to see what was 
going on, not realizing he was being manipulated. Now he'll know and 
will fight it.
