Not having the imagination to create what so many in TBAY have, I
just want to slip in these questions: What if Percy is a little bit
like Hagrid and his "interesting" creatures? What if he's not ESE,
but Ever So Stupid in his grasping for power (and is the power so
far of a jump from Ron's money issues?)? Percy has always seemed to
me to be one of those people who has tunnel vision for a single
goal, which makes him unable to take in the Big Picture or even to
relate to people ("Percy, however, held out his hand solemnly as
though he and Harry had never met and said, 'Harry. How nice to see
you.'" and "'I hope you're well?' said Percy pompously, shaking
hands. It was rather like being introduced to the mayor." p. 62 PoA
US ed.)

I do like P.I.E, though. There's so much that could be done with it!
(non-humble P.I.E, crow P.I.E, or! Goblin P.I.E. to go with Fudge??)
