In PS/SS, the Sorting Hat takes a really really really long time to 
sort Seamus. So I'm sure Seamus was considered for every house. I'm 
sure Cedric was a close call between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor.

I'm also wondering how Crabbe and GOyle got into Slytherin. They're 
not cunning, and show no signs of ambition. THe only qualifications 
they have are being pure-blooded.
